Dance Marathon
Texas Christian University Dance Marathon (TCUDM) is a year-long fundraising effort in which students, faculty, and members of the Fort Worth community will come together to raise money in support of our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Cook Children's.
The year of fundraising efforts will conclude with a 12-hour long event where students will stay awake and dance on their feet in order to celebrate the children from the hospital and the participants' hard fundraising efforts.
Families from the hospital will join participants in games, food, fun, and celebration before the final total is revealed in a closing ceremony. The money raised and the hours spent standing will all be done for the kids. To quote the first Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon's mission statement: We dance for those who can't!
Phi Mu's play a huge role in dancing at the event and helping raise money for our philanthropy CMNH!
Milkshakes for Miracles
Milkshakes for Miracles, held on October 22nd, was Phi Mu at Texas Christian University’s signature philanthropy event this past fall semester! The event benefited our philanthropy, Cook Children's Medical Center, which we take pride in serving.
Our members started raising money a couple of weeks before the event by selling $4 tickets to students and accepting donations from family members and friends. All students who bought a ticket were invited to join us at the Phi Mu House and enjoy a delicious milkshake made by our sisters.
Milkshakes for Miracles raised funds for Phi Mu’s National Philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Our chapter raised $12,310, all of which went directly to our local CMNH Hospital, Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas!
Phi Mus love and take advantage of any opportunity they get to serve our philanthropy. We count ourselves lucky to have Cook Children's in our community because it gives us more opportunities to serve and grow relationships with the wonderful families!
