Texas Christian University Dance Marathon (TCUDM) is a year-long fundraising effort in which students, faculty, and members of the Fort Worth community will come together to raise money in support of our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Cook Children's.
The year of fundraising efforts will conclude with a 12-hour long event where students will stay awake and dance on their feet in order to celebrate the children from the hospital and the participants' hard fundraising efforts.
Families from the hospital will join participants in games, food, fun, and celebration before the final total is revealed in a closing ceremony. The money raised and the hours spent standing will all be done for the kids. To quote the first Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon's mission statement: We dance for those who can't!
Phi Mu's play a huge role in dancing at the event and helping raise money for our philanthropy CMNH!
Bonnamu is Phi Mu’s spin-off of the Bonnaroo music festival! The TCU community can all watch as different Greek organizations battle it out in the form of a lip-syncing contest to raise money for CMNH. Spectators vote for their favorite team by donating to that team’s CMNH bucket and the team with the most money in their bucket at the end wins!
Miracle Ball is Phi Mu at Texas Christian University’s first-ever signature philanthropy event! On March 4 from 7-10 P.M. at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, Miracle Ball we held a semi-formal, silent auction with food, music, and raffle prizes.
Attendees had the opportunity to bid on over 50 silent-auction items, with item-values ranging from $100-$5,000. “Mock-tails” and finger-food were also provided to all attending guests.
Miracle Ball raised funds for Phi Mu’s National Philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The money that our chapter raised went directly to our local CMNH Hospital, Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Miracle Ball also raised funds for Phi Mu Foundation.
